I have an almost 3 year old and almost 4 year old who I’ve chosen not to put into preschool until next year. But things at home are starting to get pretty stagnant and stale, so I decided to experiment with some informal home teaching.
These two books are proving to be essential tools for my foray into homeschooling.
Disney Learning School Skills: Let’s Learn How To Measure
Slightly advanced for pre-K, but has cute activities and ideas for discussing concepts like length, volume, and weight.
Scholastic Reading & Math Jumbo Workbook
This book has more than just letters and numbers. With exercises that encourage following directions, increasing vocabulary and identifying opposites, your child will build upon comprehension skills that will help them in everyday life as well as school.

Enjoy teaching your little ones !
